Visa Application Centre is opened for documents submission. COVID-19 entry restrictions were officially lifted from 2nd May 2022. As of that date, the usual rules and visa conditions for entering Switzerland applied.

Due to COVID-19, special regulations apply to entry into and stay in Switzerland. Holders of a Schengen visas are NOT automatically entitled to enter Switzerland but must respect the travel restrictions in place.

The border authorities examine at the time of your entry, whether the legal entry requirements are still met. If you are unable to produce the documents presented for your visa application during this check, you may be refused entry by the border authorities, even if you are in possession of a valid visa.
Travellers who benefit from Covid entry exemptions on must present a valid vaccination certificate or a Covid-19 recovery certificate in English when crossing the border or show proof that they are in a situation of special necessity.

TLScontact Visa Application Centre starts to resume service, and our office in Moscow will be reopening for passport return services from the week of June 29th.

On 18 March 2020, the Swiss Federal Council decided, that entry at the Schengen external borders is generally prohibited with few exceptions. Switzerland follows the practice of the other Schengen states. Until further notice, Switzerland will also no longer issue Schengen visas. National visas will also only be issued in exceptional cases, for example to family members of Swiss citizens with a right of presence in Switzerland who require a visa and to specialists from the health sector.
