Welcome to TLScontact

TLScontact Center will be closed on July 27th and 30th 2018

Important notice: You can only submit your visa application within 90 days before your date of departure. We recommend you to apply at least 20 working days before the date you intend to travel.

The Embassy of Switzerland in Thailand authorizes TLScontact to inform and advise the public on the visa applications procedures, to receive the visa applications, collect the fees and return the passports to the applicants at the end of the process.

This outsourcing ensures a better reception to the public, in a dedicated center and in a timely manner. It also results in a faster processing of the applications by the Visa Section.

The applications received by TLScontact are transferred to the Embassy of Switzerland, which has the exclusive responsibility to instruct the applications and to decide to grant or deny a visa, or request additional information. TLScontact is therefore not involved in the decision step of the visa application, and is not aware of its outcome as passports are returned by the Embassy of Switzerland in sealed envelopes.

Please note the following visa applications processing times :

  • Visas for tourism, visits or professional purpose: 6 to 10 business days, depending on high or low season
  • The processing time for a national visa D is up to several weeks or months. More specific information can be given by the competent cantonal migration office in Switzerland only.

Important Notice:

Starting from November 14th 2013, all diplomatic representations of the Schengen member states in Thailand have to capture the biometric data (finger scans and facial image) of persons applying for a Schengen visa. The data will be kept in the Visa Information System (VIS) for 5 years. For further information: https://www.sem.admin.ch/dam/data/sem/einreise/vis/leaflet-vis-en.pdf

If your fingerprints have not been collected yet, personal appearance when applying for a Schengen visa is mandatory.

If your fingerprints were collected within the last 59 months, you won’t have to give new fingerprints for your next visa application(s) and personal appearance is not necessary. Please provide a copy of your visa sticker issued after the 14.11.2013. If you are not sure or do not remember whether your fingerprints have been captured for a Schengen visa within the last 59 months, you have to appear in person.

You will still have to appear in person to give your fingerprints in case the previously collected fingerprints prove to be of insufficient quality.

Personal appearance and fingerprint scan is not necessary for children under the age of 12.

The Swiss representation still reserves the right to ask the applicant to appear for a personal interview after checking his application.
